A message from Travis Conrad and R.I. Baker Middle School

Sam / Lethbridge Community Silver Band,

 

I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for coming out to Coaldale and joining us for our final concert of the 2011-2012 school year.  We've never had a guest group of that calibre before, so it was awesome to be able to share the stage with you.  I think the Silver Band sounds terrific these days!  All thanks to you Sam.  I really appreciated the opportunity to conduct our senior group and the Silver Band together.  That ranks in my top 2 band directing moments in my career thus far, so again, I am truly grateful for the opportunity given to me.

 

I have had nothing but positive feedback about our concert and your performance in particular.   Even our Superintendant gave kudos to the Silver Band in his weekly TGIF bulletin that is distributed Palliser-wide each Friday.  On top of that, I've already had 2 parents approach me to ask about playing with the Silver Band.  With your blessing, I'd be happy to put them and any other interested Coaldalians in touch with you Sam. 

 

Anyway, I was super pumped to have you and the community band out to R.I. Baker this past week.  I truly hope that we have a chance to collaborate again some time in the future.  Have a great summer!
